Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been considered by many football analysts as one of the best footballers in the history of the sport has recently talked about the future plan, suggesting that his playing career may end with his current team, Al Nassr.
Now 39 years old but currently on the books of the Saudi side, the former Real Madrid star was quizzed about his decision to hang up his boots during an interview with Portugal’s Now magazine.
Here is Ronaldo’s journey through the football world and it could only be described as sensational. After breaking the world transfer record in 2009 moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid, he set the record straight, also becoming Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer. During his stay at the Bernabeu, he, in fact, achieved a lot, which included the Ballon d’Or and the UEFA Champions League awards, winning them five times each. However, some periods at Juventus and at Manchester United broke the record previously witnessed earlier.
Presently, Ronaldo is playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and it seems that the star is happy with his decision. They also said that the Portuguese starlet is eyeing ending his playing career for a club career with Al-Nassr but he is yet to decide when that will be done.
“I do not know if it will be soon or in two or three years, but possibly at Al-Nassr, where I am happy, where I am in good condition, I feel good in the country and in the league, “said Ronaldo to Now. “That is why, perhaps, I can complete my career at Al-Nassr, or at least that would be my desire, for I am happy in the Arab League and I do not wish to stop.”
And like any professional footballer, Ronaldo has not been very forthcoming on when he plans to retire from the international football for the Portugal team. The father of the football icon made it very clear that when that time comes, he will be the one to decide and nobody can know about it.
