Bollywood has been dealt another blow with the passing of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
Kapoor, 67, passed away Thursday at HN Reliance Hospital hospital in Mumbai, his older brother, Randhir Kapoor, told Indian media.
Just yesterday, Bollywood was rocked by the death of veteran actor Irrfan Khan, who died after a battle with cancer.
Kapoor, of Bollywood’s Kapoor dynasty, returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year.
In February, Kapoor, who started his film career as a child artist in dad Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker, was hospitalized twice.
He was married to actress Neetu Singh, and has two children actor Ranbir Kapoor, and daughter Riddhima Sahani.
The Kapoor family has been synonymous with Bollywood for many decades, starting with his grandfather Prithvi Raj Kapoor, followed by his father Raj Kapoor, uncles Sashi Kapoor, and Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor and brothers Rajeev Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor.
Son Ranbir Kapoor is also an actor.
