Veteran journalist Mohammad Malick’s new show will go on air this week on HUM News


ISLAMABAD – Mohammad Malick is ready to go on air with his new program on Hum News Television from March 22.

The program named ‘Breaking Point with Malick’ will be aired daily Friday through Sunday at 8:03 pm.

The senior journalist joined Hum News in January after a stint at 92 News.

He announced about his show on Twitter.

“Inshallah starting my show on HUM News from Friday, March 22. Same schedule as before Fri-Sun (8.03pm). Renamed it as Breaking Point with Malick. Need your prayers and support as always. See you soon folks,” he tweeted.

In a journalistic career spanning over two decades, Malick has held top editorial slots in both print and electronic media.

During the tenure of PML-N government, Malick headed the state-run broadcaster, Pakistan Television. During his tenure at the post, PTV  had seen a huge boost in revenue generation and quality programming.

The best thing he did for PTV was making PTV sports as the 1st choice of Pakistani sports lovers. He along with Dr. Nauman Niaz took some bold steps by inviting some top class international players to Pakistan as analysts which PTV could never thought of. Under his tenure PTV sports kept flying high and PTV Sports was far ahead in pulling ratings and left behind Ten Sports and GEO super in ratings.

He had also worked in Dawn NewsDunya News, 92 NewsGeo News and almost all other top news channels in senior positions.

Apart for it, Malick had also remained Resident Editor of English daily, The News and The Muslim. He started his journalistic career from Frontier Post as a reporter during prime days of English print media.
