The Focal Leading body of Film Censors board has not cleared Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan for release in Pakistan, CBFC Executive Danyal Gilani has affirmed to images.
Manmarziyaan is a romantic comedy featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Set in Punjab, it takes after a young couple, Rumi and Vicky, as they are discovered getting close and after that pressurized to get married by Rumi’s family. At the point when Vicky neglects to bring his parents over for an official proposal, an investor named Robbie enters the photo as a suitor for Rumi. The film perceives how this adoration triangle settles itself.
Without expounding on the purposes behind not affirming the film for release, Gilani shared that “[CBFC’s] individuals collectively considered the film’s contents to be infringing upon the censorship code.”
This prohibition on Manmarziyan takes after prior bans on Bollywood films this year, including horror movie Pari and female comic drama film Veere Di Wedding.
