Mira Rajput reveals that Shahid Kapoor is the most loving and supportive husband who has taken over all her duties during pregnancy and would even get up in the middle of night to soothe a cramp in her foot.
Mira Rajput may not be part of showbiz herself but the past two years as Shahid Kapoor’s wife has prepared her for the push and pull of celebdom. Recently, as Mira Rajput appeared for the ad of a beauty product, she was trolled for promoting what is seen as an anti-ageing cream.
Mira, however, is not bothered by haters. Talking to Times Now, she said, “The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It’s not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel.”
Mira, who faced a lot of heat in the past for saying that she doesn’t want to spend an hour with daughter Misha and then run off the work, said she is no stranger to negative comments. “It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad,” she said.
Saying that she “was a bundle of nerves” as she shot for her first ad, Shahid’s wife said that the world is “out of my comfort zone”. Talking about her actor husband, she told Vogue in another interview, “Shahid is an extremely loving and supportive husband. It comes naturally to him. The smallest things he does make me smile and feel so loved, like when I wake him up in the middle of the night with a foot cramp and he soothes it. Or how hands-on he is with Misha and has really made sure she doesn’t feel the lack of my attention and presence, especially in these last few weeks where I can’t pick her up or play very much with her. It’s everything put together. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to walk beside me through this journey.”
Mira also said that her second pregnancy is special as daughter Misha is part of the journey. “Being able to bring a life into this world, feel it grow inside, and being able to connect with the baby before it has actually even arrived is surreal. And this time it’s been so interesting to see how Misha has been through the entire process. She knows there is a baby inside and she says, “Hi Baby!” every day to my tummy.”
