Kevin Roy joins Leo Television Network (LTN) as their new Chief Executive Officer.
Kevin is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of management experience spanning the UK, Middle East, Africa and South Asia. He specializes in media start-ups, media strategy, business restructuring, business development, financial planning and project management. Kevin has also worked with Independent Television Commission (OFCOM) UK, BHP Billiton UK, KPMG UK, CNBC, Ten Sports, Moby Group – A 21 Century Fox venture and Al Arab News (Bloomberg Middle East). He has been involved in the launch of Urdu1, CNBC Pakistan and Saama TV amongst others in Pakistan.
Leo Television Network, an organisation that initially started off by distributing leading satellite channels such as, TEN sports and HBO in 2005, launched their first cable and satellite channel Filmazia a decade ago, shortly followed by Filmax and Filmworld.
During 2015-2016, Mr Roy was briefly associated with the network as the Chief Operating Officer. LTN reached new heights during this period with Filmazia becoming one of the most watched Pakistani channels, while achieving record-breaking ratings.
This time around, as the Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Roy will be managing all aspects of the Network, which is truly a rare phenomenon in the Pakistani media landscape as almost all other CEOs are directly or indirectly owners of their respective organisations. This is indeed a sign of maturity and growth for an evolving industry as ours.
We wish Kevin Roy the very best of luck!
