Directed by Angelina Jolie, “In the Fade” wins the golden globe award for best foreign language movie. The film stars Diane Kruger in what was her first native role in German language. Kruger won the best female actor award.
The director praised the acting skills of leading actress and awarded the prize to her. The film is about the Neo-Nazi violence, which came to spot light after the incident at Charlottesville, Virginia. Actress Kruger was excited at receiving the award and commented that she felt “Overwhelming” when the movie was screened.
Speaking about the movie Kruger said that “There are plenty of movies about bombs and terrorists, but it was the intimacy of this film, and how the small details of grief and death that impact the individual life.”
