Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published its annual report of 2017 in which they have stated that Pakistan will be the first country in the South Asia to introduce 5G internet. It is a big achievement for the whole nation in the sense that it has moved ahead from the largest region Nation, India that regardless of high investment in technology India has yet failed to develop the 5G internet service.
Amresh Nandan, research director at advisory firm Gartner, told Quartz that India will be able to think of the true potential of 5G in post-2025.
Pakistan has already started working on introducing 5G internet by 2020 that is going to be first of its kind. Limiting within the regulatory environment, two months earlier all cellular companies were given permission to test the 5G technology without charging the customers.
5G internet technology in Pakistan also vows to bring foreign investment as well, because smartphones compatible with 4G are rare in the country and of course for 5G new smartphones would be required and for that big mobile company like iPhone can even open a franchise in Pakistan.
Such successful creations earn a good name for the country hence they should be highlighted both on the National and International level.
