The champions of Second Pakistan Super League (PSL2) Peshawar Zalmi has formally signed and MOU with Daily Pakistan for upcoming PSL3 which is going to be start from February. Daily Pakistan will be the exclusive digital media partner of Peshawar Zalmi. The memorandum was signed between the owner of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi and the Chief Executive of Daily Pakistan Usman Mujeeb Shami.
The moments of agreement were streamed live on Daily Pakistan Facebook page in which the Javed Afridi appreciated the efforts of Daily Pakistan in media and expressed his feelings on the future of PSL and Cricket in general. He mentioned that PSL has become a brand now and a chief source of revenue, “In the last PSL tournament 18million revenue was generated.” He added.
For PSL 2018 no media outlet has yet made an agreement for exclusive coverage of any of the team. Daily Pakistan being an exclusive digital media partner will keep the fans of Peshawar Zalmi entertain on social media through out the tournament.
Javed Afridi talking about role of media said, “Media has an important role to play in the promotion of cricket. IPL has rocked only because the media in India gave an extraordinary coverage to the tournament and for that matter not signing memorandum with only one media group is sufficient, all media outlets in Pakistan need to give as much exposure to the players as possible.”
In the end Javed Afridi Presented Zalmi Cap as a token of appreciation to the chief executive of Daily Pakistan Usman Mujeeb Shami.
