All-rounder, Muhammad Hafeez has been banned from bowling in international cricket after ICC declared his bowling action to be illegal. Previously, Hafeez was banned from bowling two times in two consecutive year 2014 and 2015.
Recently off-spin bowler Muhammad Hafeez was reported during the third ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Oct. 18 in Abu Dhabi. He underwent an assessment at England’s Loughborough University on Nov. 1, results of which showed that “the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.”
Hafeez has also withdrawn himself from the ongoing premier league in Dhaka (BPL) and instead requested the Pakistan cricket board to attach a bowling coach with him so he could be able to remodel his bowling action and apply for the reassessment test as soon as possible.
