As many as 12 people have reportedly lost their lives due to heavy rain in various parts of the country last night, on Wednesday.
Main areas of Faisalabad city such as D-Ground and Susan road seemed like a swimming pool whilst cars were at danger of flooding in underpasses. One passenger had become trapped in 6ft of rain water and passer bus had to help them out.
A woman identified as Saima lost her life along with her Two when the roof of their house collapsed. It has been further reported that the rainfall has caused cracks in ceilings of houses and can collapse anytime, relevant emergency authorities are at stand by.
Meanwhile, water level in rivers is increasing due to current rainy season. An alert has been issued to residents of adjoining areas of River Chenab and nullahs in Gujranwala
