Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sued Imran Khan under defamation, he stated that Imran Khans allegations that PML-N offered him a bribe to drop the Panama Case was a baseless allegation and his motive was to defame the Chief Minister, Sharif sued PTI Chairperson Imran Khan for slander he stated “imagine, having to force him to stop lying for fear of monetary loss and not of face of honour..”
He further stated a lengthy response to the chairman of PTI which stated the following:
“Nature bestowed upon Imran Khan a golden opportunity in KPK, however, he acted irresponsibly and proved that those whom base their politics on accusations and allegations are unable to serve the nation.”
Shehbaz Sharif referred to Khans tenure in KPK and how it was an opportunity to mark his place in the hearts of the public but instead, he began opting for shortcuts instead of using his own capabilities to prove himself.
Moreover, the Chief Minister of Punjab stated:” Imran Khan threatened to present reference against me in court, I await this reference and I am convinced Niazi Sahib will use the same method of approaching the courts that he has set a record in”
Imran Khan earlier stated that he has proof that he was bribed to keep his mouth shut on the Panama Case.
“This is not the first time Imran Khan has spoken against me, he has done numerous times before, the accusations have been baseless and I have also filed a case against him and I promise to resign if he proves that I offered him 10 arab rupees” said Shehbaz Shairf on a twitter post.
As the situation becomes more heated up he further stated “despite his efforts he (Imran Khan) would not succeed in gaining power by using the back door or unfair methods”.
