Muhammad Omair Khan, who was working for Duny News as Chief Strategy Officer has left the media channel along with his sales team from Karachi with immediate effect. Members of his team included Tauseef Shah, Sajid and Amir.
Muhammad Omair Khan has now joined City News Network as Group CCO and Tausif Shah has joined the same media channel as Group Executive Director Sales.
Omair Khan joined Dunya News as Head of Marketing and Sales in 2008. In January 2011 he was promoted as Director Marketing Dunya News. As Director Marketing at Dunya News his task was to ensure smooth and effective functioning of all the activities within Marketing & Sales with a keen eye on dynamic global electronic media market trends, organizational objectives and proven success for growing business with top national TV channel brands. He graduated from University of Karachi as a Bachelor of Commerce in 2000.
Tausif Shah, also a part of Omair’s team at Dunya News and was working as Director Sales and Marketing has now joined City News Network as well. He is appointed as Group Executive Director Sales. Tausif was working for Dunya since October 2008. He started off his professional career in August 1999 as Senior Sales Associate at Media Magic. Later, he went on to become Senior Manager Sales at Geo TV Network in January 2003. Tauseef is an MA Economics from University of Karachi which he completed in 2010.
Meanwhile Jamshaid Rizwani has been appointed as Bureau Head Rohi TV and the channel will be launched on 23 March 2017.
Some other new appointments include Rehan Hashmi, who has joined 24 News as Controller News Karachi.
