Dear Pakistani Actors / Actresses / Singers,
Please, Kindly come back to the place that loves and owns you.
Come back home.
By coming back, I don’t mean just physically – I mean mentally as well.
I’m tired of hearing these ‘low- level’, ‘ third-rate ‘ Indian publications ranting about ‘Not allowing’ you to work in India.
You were invited by Indians because of your beauty, charisma and talent.
And that is why they offered you work.
Why would you choose ‘self- respect’ over ‘fame’ …?!
I’m not saying you would.
Simply asking, would you ?!
Stars like Shahrukh Khan ( Indian, but still convincing everyone of his Indianship) can tweet all they want to about ‘Congratulations India on strikes, etc ‘..
Singers ( or rather traitors ) like Adnan Sami Khan can tweet all about ‘ Badhai PM sahib’ and dare to even equate terrorism with Pakistan )… He has begged for an Indian passport, so obviously grovelling to keep that passport will come naturally to him too…
I can understand their dilemma!
But what is your dilemma, my dear Pakistani Stars?!
Yes, you are our Stars.
Pakistan loves you . Pakistan is proud of you . And Pakistan will forever ‘ Own’ you.
It is your identity.
It is the only identity you were born with.
Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar , Atif Aslam you are the most prominent of Pakistani faces in India.
When I see or hear of these threats to Pakistani Actors/ Actresses in India, inevitably I see your faces.
I don’t know about the immediate threat to Pakistani singers there, but same difference.
There comes a time in everyone’s life where they have to decide between ‘dignity’ or ‘desperation’.
This is exactly that time for you – all our Pakistani actors/actresses and Singers in India.
Come and promote cinema in Pakistan.
Come and promote Music in Pakistan.
Reach the International Film Industry if you want to.
But, come back from India!
Bid adiéu to Bollywood
For good !
You shouldn’t have gone there in the first place.
But, it’s ok that you did.
Now, just come back.
You will eventually be coming back – for safety concerns .
So, why not do it out of a ‘Dignified Stance’ right now- especially when Actors across the border are applauding their govt. for attacking your land.
This “is” your Land …… isn’t it …?!
